• 2024 EIGHTH GRADE SACRAMENTO FIELD TRIP

    “STEP INTO CALIFORNIA HISTORY”

    There is no better way to learn about our rich California history than to experience it. That is precisely what our eighth-grade students did. In April, 358 eighth-grade students from all the 蜜桃社区 middle and K-8 schools set out for a five-day field trip to Northern California. This is the tenth year of this trip, which continues to grow in popularity. Three trips were needed this year to accommodate all the students.

    While at Marshal Goldfield Discovery Park, students panned for gold, took the discovery tour and river rafted on the American River. While in the city of 蜜桃社区, students toured the State Capitol and met with our State Assemblyperson, Freddie Rodriguez. Students visited Old Town 蜜桃社区, where they toured the California Railroad Museum, and the 蜜桃社区 History Museum, participated in a history scavenger hunt, and they took the amazing underground tour. On this same day, our students traveled to UC Davis where they heard from college students about their journeys to get to this prestigious school, and they did a campus tour. On the last day, students traveled to San Francisco where they toured Alcatraz Island, rode the cable cars, toured a WWII submarine (USS Pampanito), visited an arcade museum (Musee Mecanigue), and they spent free time on Pier 39.

    This was an amazing adventure for our 蜜桃社区 eighth-grade students. It will be a memory that will not soon be forgotten.
